Launching the XEN Football Academy
A purpose-built academy in Uganda to develop young talent and open pathways to international football.
The Challenge
Across Uganda and wider Africa, talented young players often lack structured coaching, exposure to scouts and a clear route into professional and international football.
Families, coaches and clubs want a trusted pathway, yet opportunities remain scattered and hard to verify. XEN set out to build a connected ecosystem that supports players from discovery to opportunity.
The Approach
XEN is combining an international network of football professionals and experienced coaches, including a director with English Premier League playing experience, with talent-discovery events across East Africa and a digital platform linking players, scouts and clubs.
- Identify and develop talent through structured programmes
- Give players and families a trusted route to opportunity
- Build links with clubs and coaches in international networks
The Solution
XEN has acquired approximately 1.5 hectares of land in Uganda for a planned football training and academy facility, with the XEN Football Academy set to launch in 2027. It will combine talent development, training infrastructure and international partnerships, supported by a digital platform for players, parents, coaches, scouts and clubs.
